EBG built this kit to solve the same problem most Talaria owners run into within the first season: the stock brakes were never designed for the kind of riding people actually do on these bikes. The 220mm or 230mm rotor (the kit includes both options) and Ultra Bee-derived 2-piston caliper give you about 20% more clamping force than OEM. The steel-braided kevlar-core line stops feeling spongy after a few hard runs, and the copper-ceramic pads last roughly twice as long as the stock organic pads — EBG rates them at about 5,000 km of normal use.
Bottom line: if you're riding your Talaria hard enough that you've thought "the brakes feel undersized," this kit is the answer. Most owners do this upgrade within their first six months of ownership.
